Hospital/Health System IT Buyer Decision Making

This education module provides insight as to how IT projects are initiated, the process to select and contract with particular vendors, and the roles and orientation of various players.  Particular emphasis is given to understanding decision makers in different organizational functions (e.g. IT, clinicians, financial, C-Suite), and the process and buying criteria associated with major systems purchases. It also describes the expanding roles of CMIO’s and other clinicians in clinical systems selection. In particular this module will help attendees involved in the sales process in being more effective in working with decision makers and influencers who affect the purchase of IT vendor solutions.
